The history of Diamine dates back to 1864, when the company was founded by T. Webster and Co. in London. The business moved to Liverpool in 1925, and T. Webster and Co. changed its name to Diamine in 1964. Changes of company ownership over the years had weakened the company reputation and products, but the recent resurrection of the brand has restored it to the glory that it once enjoyed. Diamine produces one of the largest ranges of fountain pen ink and fountain pen cartridges, as well as the famous Registrar's Ink for permanent records.Diamine WES Imperial Blue fountain pen cartridges are standard short international size, and are packaged in a generous box of 18. The cartridges will fit most fountain pens that accept international cartridges, but they will not fit in pens by Lamy, Sheaffer (except the VFM), Parker, Cross, Pilot, Sailor and many others that use proprietary cartridges. Diamine ink is water-based, acid-free and non-toxic.The WES Imperial Blue was a special edition for the 25th Anniversary of the Writing Equipment Society, which was popular enough that the colour has become a permanent fixture on the Diamine catalogue.
