Duke Esteem Red Fountain Pen

Alternative Views:

From a New Old Stock collection of pens, we introduce this Duke Esteem Red Fountain Pen. The Esteem is a slim pen, but with a nice heft from its lacquer over brass construction. The gold-plated highlights of the clip, cap band and rings complements the luster of the red lacquer. The clip bears the Duke crown logo, which is shown on the cap band. The pen has a slip cap which securely seals with a noticeable click. The single tone gold plated steel nib, like most Duke nibs, is a fine/medium width. Non-removable squeeze converter mechanism only (included), does not take cartridges.

Great look and feel November 4, 2016
Reviewer: jb from decatur, IN United States
I bought this mostly because of the look and style... it also helped that the price was quite inexpensive as well. I like the feel of the Duke as I usually prefer a medium to large barrel on my pens. I would guess it to fit in the medium size category - it's not nearly as thin as the Monteverde Limonada.  Even though I forgot to flush the pen prior to inking, it started writing quite nicely and I've not seen any skipping in my writing.  I'm not sure whether to call this a German or Chinese pen, as they seem to have offices in Germany and possibly the US, but the manufacturing is apparently done in China.  I'm quite pleased with my Duke and look forward to many hours of writing with it.
