Brilliant service. Fantastic pen! June 9, 2016
Reviewer: Martin Leverton from Kettering, Northamptonshire United Kingdom
The pen has the century-old ink shutoff mechanism, unique to Japan. It's a quality pen, with thick walls, sturdy construction, & precise threads, giving confidence it will be a very safe pen. The mechanism is smooth & works as intended. To fill the barrel (which has a huge ink capacity) the plunger needs retracting. However, once full (don't fill above the threads) the plunger knob needs only a slight turn to open the nib feed to ink  The nib feed also holds a substantial amount of ink, & writing can continue well after the shutoff is closed.
The pen is really comfortable to hold. I don't post the cap, as it makes the pen unwieldy.
The finish is lovely, &  the homage to the Onoto pens of the second decade of the last century is very detailed.
I'm a very happy owner of pen with a great & authentic filling-system. Grab one now before they start slapping urushi all over it, and doubling the price!  :)
Also, many thanks to Anderson Pens for the brilliant service.
