Edison Pearlette Fountain Pen - Violet Flake

The newest member of the production line series, the Edison Pearlette fountain pen in Violet Flake with silver colored clip and steel #5 nib engraved with the Edison logo is a medium sized pen at 5-3/16 inches long. The pen measures 4-3/4 inches long uncapped, which is almost exactly the same size as a 1940"s Vacumatic Major. The pen is 6 inches long when posted and posts well. Weight of the pen is 18 grams with the cap, 12 grams without the cap. Body and cap diameter are both .515 inches. The barrel and cap of the Edison Pearlette fountain pen are flush when capped making for a very Asian looking streamlined pen with clean lines. The Edison Pearlette fountain pen uses either the included standard international converter, or short standard international cartridges for your convenience. The #5 sized nib is smaller than the nibs in the rest of the production line series and is available in XF, F, M, and B nib sizes in steel as well as an 18kt gold option. Please Note: 18kt nibs are special order and will take an additional 7-10 days for delivery.

My first Edison will not be my last January 4, 2017

I've gradually been making my way through trying out various brands of pens and took my time getting to Edison, mostly because it was hard to justify $150 for a pen with a steel nib.  I'm so glad I finally made this purchase.  The pen is beautiful in person and I find myself looking at it a great deal.  It also fits very comfortably in my hand, and writes with a nice, moderately wet fine line that seems somewhere between a Japanese fine and a Western fine.  Now I can't wait to get another Edison and try a new nib size as well.

It also came super quick.  Great service, as always.
