The layered paper stock of the Haiku Journal cover is treated with a proprietary coating that gives the impression of a sturdy plastic cover with the class and sophistication only paper can provide.

Inside, the 60 sheets of silky smooth writing paper sports a unique 'dotted grid' design that allows for easy handwriting or freestyle drawing. Outside, a cover flap inserts into the fitted slot on the front to secure the pages when not in use, which forms a sort of sturdy box which is easy to carry around without damaging the paper. A pocket on the inner back cover also features a slot to store the flap when writing. Acid-Free and archival-safe, these Journals are constructed to last for years! Lefties and artists consider this type of binding easy to use with the dot grid, since it can be turned horizontally or even reversed for comfort of the use.

Simply a marvelous pad..  I love the pocket in back.  The paper is about the best I've seen except maybe clairefontaine.   Only downside? Could have more paper in it!
