Noodler's Ahab Flex Fountain Pen - Burmese Ruby

The Ahab Burmese Ruby flex fountain pen was introduced in 2011. The Ahab is larger than both the Konrad flex fountain pen and the Standard Flex nib Creaper. It features a flexible #6 steel nib and ebonite feed, and fills through a slide piston mechanism, which is accessible by removing the barrel. Creator Nathan Tardiff is proud of the fact that this pen is made of a celluloid derivative and is technically biodegradable and formed from a "renewable resource".

Great everyday writers! December 20, 2015
Reviewer: Buck from Story, WY United States
I own more expensive fountain pens, 10 to 30 times more expensive, and this pen is a keeper. I took out my Watermans and Parkers to compare the smoothness and yes, I could tell a difference, but not that much. From an economic stand point I am enjoying these pens much more. I just finished 40+ Christmas cards using this Burmese Ruby and the Maximilian Emerald, Christmas colors with Corresponding Noodler's Ink colors. They are a pleasure to write and play with the flex nib.

I write with different colors depending on the situation. So, being a little anal in choosing my ink color I purchased somewhat corresponding colored pens for easy identification. All five pens I purchased work great, can't tell the difference between them when writing. Believe me, I "Noodled" over several pages with all of them.

Anderson Pens did great! I ordered on a weekend and Monday morning I received an email that they were shipped. I also like that I had a short hand written message on the  invoice!

A Pretty Nice Pen March 20, 2015
Reviewer: Robert Duron from Redlands, CA United States
Unpack.
Flush.
Rinse.
Load it up and enjoy a nicely shaped and colored pen with a pretty good nib.
Repeat by buying another new pen...because there'll always be another one.

First Impressions March 6, 2015
Reviewer: Aissatou Sunjata from Spring Lake, NC United States
This is my first purchase from Anderson Pens. In fact, believe I can't recall how I found out about them. I love the quickness of my order arriving, the packaging. My entire experience and believe I called to find out more information prior to making my decision. The Customer Service young woman was a huge help. I was happy I went ahead immediately following our conversation because after I ordered it found it was the last one! I already have another order in my "view cart" I am a left handed person and never in my wildest dreams could I imagine a lefthanded blank notebook. Oh, did I mention, this will be my third order? Yes, definitely a threepeat customer. I am looking forward to doing many more transactions, how's that for endorsement and satisfaction?
