The Konrad Red Mesa Tortoise flex fountain pen was introduced in 2012. It is shorter and thinner than the Ahab, but is larger than the Standard Flex Nib Creaper. It features a flexible #6 steel nib and ebonite feed, and fills via an internal twist piston mechanism, which is hidden under a blind cap. Creator Nathan Tardiff is proud of the fact that this pen is made of celluloid derivative and is technically biodegradable and formed from a "renewable resource".

Low price flex fountain pen September 18, 2014

This is one of the good choices for flex fountain pen in low price. However, the design is not so good in the case of "Red Mesa Tortoise", since the pattern of translucent part is ambiguous.
