An odd shade for Maroon December 11, 2017
Reviewer: Pauline from Katy, TX United States
I'm guessing that this ink's color payoff ended up being a little weaker than I imagined because of the batch it was prepared with. I tried writing with this ink using my dip pen before trying it out on a fountain pen, and when I saw how the maroon turned out, I was kind of disappointed. It ended up looking like a darkened, washed out burnt red-orange instead of a true maroon color. Nevertheless, even though it's not maroon, it's not a bad color, either, and I'd still write with it whenever I got the chance.

The ink flow of the Papier Plume Maroon is very good, but I often had times when the ink would flow a little too much and leave me writing with bold lines when I didn't want to. I usually have good control of my dip pen, but I won't leave user error out of the picture. I haven't yet tried it with a fountain pen, so I'm certain that I won't have that flowing problem or a clogging problem when it comes to using it in my fountain pen.
