Colorful Deal May 10, 2016

One by one I have added each color of the Metro Pops to my collection as I have experienced with increasingly pleasant surprise that, not only are they excellent, buttery writers, but each one is also even more attractive and well-finished in living color. Green was the one I did not expect to like much.. and I ended up buying a second one as a gift!!! Ditto with the orange, which is a nice coppery orange, although purple and red are my two favorites.

The best pen value there is March 27, 2016
Reviewer: William Hazelton from Littleton, CO United States
Wow. What great performing pens, for a minimal $15 investment. I have several -- mostly fine nib, but the Medium might even outshine the Fine. I use my pens for journaling and correspondence, so I like a finer line, but the Metropolitan Medium nib is only slightly heavier than the Fine, writes a much wetter line (so the color of quality inks pops even more), and works well with almost every ink I've tried -- including J. Herbin's problematic and clog-prone Rouge Hematite. I've had no problems with it in any of my Metropolitans, and if one ever DOES clog up beyond repair, the financial loss is minimal. My only complaint is the small vacuum sac converter, but the Pilot CON-50 converter is a quick and relatively inexpensive upgrade. These are not fancy pens by any means, but they are dependable little workhorses that are a pleasure to use.

My day to day go to pen. November 23, 2015

This is a nice balanced fountain pen for every day writing. I have noticed that the cap does not like to stay posted and that it leaks some but it writes very well.
