great pen, unsurpassable reliability May 21, 2016

I bought this pen for my grandmother after lending her my own Metropolitan in a medium nib. Once the cartridge was inserted, it took only seconds for the feed to saturate. Ink flows the instant nib touches paper, and I've never had so much as a skip or a hard start in my own pen, which is more than can be said of even much more expensive pens.

This pen writes plenty smooth and it comes with its own converter. I think it's impossible to find a pen as good as this for under $20.

Inexpensive pretty little pen! September 5, 2014
Reviewer: Kiwi from HI United States
Metropolitan pens are very inexpensive, but have very nice smooth nibs and the metal body give them nice weight. Simple sleek design, appropriate for professional situation too. I bought a fine nib knowing it will be more like extra fine since Pilot nibs are all on the finer side. I love how fine it is and though it's fine it is so smooth and no ink skipping etc... I do not like the squeeze converter came with it because you cannot see how much ink is in the converter...
