TWSBI 580AL Fountain Pen - Pink, Medium Nib

The idea behind the TWSBI Diamond 580AL fountain pen was to go back to basics and capture the simplicity and elegance of traditional writing instruments. The Diamond 580 is a classically styled fountain pen with a piston ink-filling system, smooth-writing steel nib and a screw-on cap. The traditional mechanism of the fountain pen, combined with a modern industrial design, embodies both the past and the present.

The TWSBI Diamond 580 piston ink-filling system uses only bottled ink and the clear body with Pink colored aluminum grip and piston, allows the user to view the level of ink remaining in the pen at all times. The Diamond 580 fountain pen has all detachable parts, as TWSBI felt that it was important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen and completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen.

This is a limited production one-time run, so once this stock is sold out there will be no more pens available. Get yours now!

Nice 1st pen February 9, 2017
Reviewer: Derek from Oil City, PA United States
I took the risk considering the "cracking" issues that seem to haunt TWSBI, and so far so good. I did notice some voids (air bubbles) in the barrel though. The feed is perfectly centered with the breather hole and the nib body. The nib tip/tines appears to be spot on for regulation.

The pen is a beautifully smooth and wet writer with the Kon-Peki ink; more so on premium 24# laser copy paper than the Rhodia dot pad. Very enjoyable writing experience. Ah hem, don't even think abouting posting the cap. I can see why many are enamoured with TWSBI pens. Actually, I am considering buying a stub or italic nib for this pen. Very nicely done and I would buy again.
