TWSBI ECO Fountain Pen - White, Broad Nib

Alternative Views:

The TWSBI ECO piston ink-filling system uses only bottled ink and the clear body allows the user to view the level of ink remaining in the pen at all times. One difference between the ECO fountain pen and the other TWSBI pens is that the ECO does not have a removable nib unit, and the barrel and nib unit are all one piece. There will not be separate nib units for this pen.

TWSBI ECO Fountain Pen - White, Broad Nib

The TWSBI ECO, shown here in White with a Broad nib, is a classically styled fountain pen with a piston ink-filling system, smooth-writing steel nib and a screw-on cap, at a lower price point than any of the other TWSBI fountain pens thus far. The traditional mechanism of the fountain pen, combined with a modern industrial design, embodies both the past and the present. This pen runs about the same in length as the Diamond 580 and is just a tiny bit thinner.

Right up there in my EDC! August 25, 2017

Along with MB, Pelikan, DuPont, Pilot, Nakaya, Conway Stewart, Onoto.. you get the picture! I love the build quality and the broad steel nib is smooth, wet and predictable in a good way. I have 11 Twsbi's and this is the second ECO. The other is a brilliant 1.1 mm stub that I enjoy. Philip at Twsbi is a fabulous ambassador and manager there at the company. I've never had a crack.. I know it has happened in the past but I am weary of hearing this mentioned in each review! My MB 146 had to go in for significant service nearly just after I received it. My Twsbi's have been far more reliable! Love dealing with Anderson Pen Co. Frank in Boulder, CO

Fantastic budget piston filler October 4, 2015

Although cheaper, I feel the single piece body of this design is superior in terms of strength - no unnecessary joints.

My main complaint about demonstrators is the dirty cap syndrome they all eventually face.  This solves the issue in a very aesthetically pleasing opaque cap.

I expected the broad to be wider, it writes about the same thickness as my 580's medium
